Project PathBuilder

Privacy & Cookies

Project PathBuilder is independently developed and operated by Justin N. Howard, who is responsible for the collection and use of information described in this notice.

Last updated: August 6, 2026

Public Website

The public Project PathBuilder site provides information about the program and links to the Moodle classroom and the PathBuilder Portal. The public pages do not create Moodle accounts, enroll students, or collect student intake information.

Contact Form

The general inquiry form collects only the name, email address, topic, and message you submit. That information is stored to respond to your inquiry and is not sold, rented, or used for advertising.

Do not submit student, registration, medical, payment, password, or government identifier information through a general contact channel. The invitation-only PathBuilder Portal is a separate protected system.

Information Collected

Through the invitation-only PathBuilder Portal, Project PathBuilder may collect:

  • Guardian name
  • Guardian email address
  • Optional call-only telephone number
  • Student names
  • Declared birth year
  • Grade band
  • Course or offering selections
  • Registration responses
  • Required acknowledgments
  • Typed electronic signature
  • Agreement version and signing record
  • Associated signed documents
  • Moodle account and provisioning status
  • Course participation, submitted work, grades, and classroom records held in Moodle
  • Operational communications concerning access, registration, or course administration

Project PathBuilder does not currently collect full birth dates, payment-card information, government identification numbers, detailed medical records, automated SMS-verification information, or survey or research data.

No Sale or Advertising

Project PathBuilder does not sell personal information. Family and student information is not used for targeted advertising, advertising profiles, or unrelated commercial marketing.

Information may be provided to service providers only as reasonably necessary to operate the program, deliver educational services, protect systems, or satisfy legal obligations. Project PathBuilder will update this notice before personal information is used or disclosed for a materially different purpose.

Service Providers

Project PathBuilder currently uses the following service providers:

  • Supabase for authentication, database services, protected server functions, and private document storage
  • Resend for account and operational email
  • DigitalOcean for hosting
  • Moodle for classroom accounts, activities, assignments, and grades, hosted at learn.projectpathbuilder.org

Passwords and Security

Portal passwords are handled by the authentication provider and are not visible to Project PathBuilder. Moodle passwords are transmitted through protected server-side functions. Moodle passwords are not stored in the Portal database, included in ordinary email, or displayed to the owner. Never send a password through the general contact channel.

Cookies and Sessions

The public informational website does not currently use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

The PathBuilder Portal and Moodle use necessary authentication cookies, session information, and related browser storage to sign users in, maintain secure account access, prevent misuse, and support essential classroom functions.

Retention

Project PathBuilder generally retains family, student, registration, agreement, and course-administration records for no more than three years after the end of the family's last enrolled term. Records may be retained longer when required by an applicable grant, contract, audit, legal obligation, dispute, security investigation, or outstanding records request.

Inactive and Archived Accounts

When a family completes a course, withdraws, or chooses not to continue, the account may be marked inactive and ordinary access may be disabled. Limited records may remain archived during the applicable three-year retention period.

Archived records are not kept permanently. They will be deleted or de-identified when they are no longer required, unless continued retention is necessary for a legal, audit, grant, dispute, security, or outstanding-records purpose.

Access, Correction, Export, and Deletion

A verified guardian may request:

  • A copy of information associated with the guardian account and participating students
  • Correction of inaccurate information
  • Account closure or deactivation
  • Deletion of information that is no longer reasonably required
  • A status update concerning an earlier request

Identity and guardian authority must be verified before information is released, changed, or deleted. An export may exclude passwords, confidential security information, information concerning another family, legally protected information, and internal material that cannot reasonably be separated from protected records.

Some records may need to remain after account closure or a deletion request, including signed agreements, final course records, security records, grant or audit documentation, and records involved in an unresolved dispute or legal matter.

Project PathBuilder aims to respond to verified privacy requests within 30 days.

Analytics and Third-Party Scripts

The public pages currently load Jelly UI from jelly-ui.com for web-component styling already used by the site. No analytics script or advertising pixel is implemented on the public website. The contact form submits directly to a Project PathBuilder server function, which relays a notice email through Resend; no third party stores or renders the submitted message itself.

Questions

Use the contact page for a general question, project inquiry, course information request, or PathBuilder Portal or Moodle access help request. Do not send sensitive family or student information through an unapproved channel.
